Peaceful, Easy Feeling by Eagles

This is my first but I think it's pretty accurate, based on my own ear and
observing a couple of videos of Eagles themselves playing it. Scroll to the
bottom for chord fingerings and other information.

Intro: E Esus4 (x4)

E A E A

Verse 1: I like the way your sparklin' earrings lay
E A B7 B7/A
against your skin so brown
E A E A
and I want to sleep with you in the desert tonight
E A B7
with a billion stars all around

A E
Chorus: 'cause I got a peaceful, easy feelin'
A F#madd4 B7
and I know you won't let me down
E F#madd4 A Asus2 B7
'cause I'm a-already standin'
E
on the ground

Interlude: E Esus4 (x2)

E A E A
Verse 2: And I found out a long time ago
E A B7 B7/A
what a woman can do to your soul

Ah, but she can't take you any way
E A B7
you don't already know how to go.

A E
Chorus: And I got a peaceful, easy feelin'
A F#madd4 B7

E A E A
Verse 3: I get this feeling I may know you
E A B7 B7/A
as a lover and a friend

but this voice keeps whispering in my other ear
E A B7
tells me I may never see you again

A E
Chorus: 'cause I got a peaceful, easy feelin'
A F#madd4 B7
and I know you won't let me down
E F#madd4 A B7
'cause I'm a-already standin'

I'm a-already standin'
E F#madd4 A B7
yes I'm a-already standin'
E F#madd4 A Asus2 B7
on the ground

end on E

Chords Used:

E 022100
Esus4 022200
A x02220
Asus2 X02200
F#madd4 x4420x
B7 x21202
B7/A X01202

The F#madd4 chord in particular was clearly visible in an Eagles video, as
were the A-Asus2 and B7-B7/A changes. There are other ways to play F#madd4
but I think this is the easiest, which is probably why Frey chose to use it.

They definitely play this in the key of E, but on the studio recording from
Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) they aren't tuned to concert standard
(A=440hz), or to anything else that makes sense, like a half-step flat. I
find that if I set my tuner to A=433hz it comes out just right. The same is
true of Take It Easy, so my best guess is that whatever they tuned to in
the studio was off a bit. Play this along with the studio recording and
you'll see what I mean.

This is a modification of another entry I found here, but I can't remember
whose it was. Constructive criticism is most welcome. Enjoy!
